Anthurium crystallinum is a highly sought after tropical houseplant prized for its gorgeous ornamental leaves. Anthurium crystallinum is technically an "air plant" and, in nature, it derives most of its nutrients from the air, rain, and debris around it. They thrive in humid environments like temperatures above 65°. Anthurium crystallinum can produce flowers of either light green with yellowish or reddish tinge or dull purple during all seasons if it is growing in a tropical condition.
Anthurium crystallinum grows best in orchid potting mix, sphagnum moss, soilless mediums like moss or bark, or light soils mixes of peat moss, coconut coir, perlite, pine bark, orchid bark, charcoal and pumice. They do great in a well ventilated terrarium.
Anthuriums generally have a slow growth rate. Ever two to five years, the plant grows about 20". You can expect a new leaf ever 4 to 6 weeks.
