Description

Boston Fern is considered to be a classic houseplant with its sword-shaped, blue-green foliage containing tiny leaflets.

  • Bright Indirect Light.
  • Well-Draining Soil
  • Keep Soil Lightly Moist, not soggy
  • Loves Humidity

Outdoor (when temps go above 50): add a touch of elegance to your porch. Needs- plenty of water and a well draining pot; possibly every day in the heat of the summer. It would like a shady spot. Fertilize with either a slow release (osmocote) at the beginning of spring or a water soluble fertilizer every couple of weeks throughout the summer.

Indoor: It would like an area with bright, indirect light. It likes to remain moderately wet, so when the first 1/2" of soil feels dry, water it thoroughly. It does like humidity, so a bathroom or misting it every so often would work. Fertilize it starting in March with either osmocote or a water-soluble fertilizer.

We recommend using Espoma Indoor Liquid Fertilizer to feed your plants as you water, or Osmocote Outdoor/Indoor for a slow release fertilizer. Either way you go your houseplants will love it!
