Transition your houseplants at the end of season into new statement houseplants. Start by planting your new tropical - pot and all - into your outdoor container. As temperatures approach frost in the fall, remove your tropical from your container and replace with your favorite fall bloomer - Mums, Millet, ornamental cabbage. Your tropical can now be wiped down to remove debris from the pot and leaves, treated with Neem Oil for any unwanted outdoor guests, and placed in a bright spot in your home. Once brought inside, most tropicals need less water. Make sure you provide good drainage and let your plant dry out between waterings.
