Description

Saturday, March 7th, 11am

Join us for a 2-hour intensive workshop led by esteemed bonsai guru Robert Cho. With over 30 years of mastery, Robert will guide you through the intricate art of wiring—a fundamental skill for shaping and training your trees.

In this intermediate class, you will learn how to select wire gauges, anchor and apply wire correctly, and safely remove it to prevent bark damage. After practicing on several trial trees, you will apply your new skills to a pre-bonsai 8-year-old Ficus Retusa. You’ll leave the class with a beautiful bonsai you’ve personally styled and trained.

Materials Provided: 8-year-old Ficus Retusa tree, pot, screen, lava rock, bonsai soil, and soil conditioner. (Professional tools are provided for use during class.)
